Rik, aren't you gonna mention all those movies you watched across the street from your mom's house? Those were true classics...great soundtracks...a guy could make a fortune selling those soundtracks...But seriously, I need to honorably mention a few more (some may or may not fall into the category of "teen flick"): Weird Science, the Sure Thing, The Karate Kid, The Goonies, Heathers, Adventures in Babysitting (mmmmm Elizabeth Shue!), The Outsiders, Wargames, Vision Quest, Bill Cosby Himself (I know that's not a teen flick...but every teen watched/loved it!), Mischief (Kelly Preston full frontal!), Real Genius, and anything with "spring break" in the title...

Yes indeed Steve-O, those are some good ones. The full frontal shot of Kelly Preston in Mischief is imprinted on my mind forever. And ditto on Elizabeth Shue, I had a huge thing for her back in the day and alwways thought AIB was one of the more underrated movies of the 80's.

Vision Quest is also one of my all time favorites. I own the DVD and pretty much know the movie by heart.

Along the spring break lines, there was a great 80's movie simply called "Spring Break" - we used to have it on VHS. Great movie. There's another one that I can't remember ther name of, it's about 4 rich middle aged bachelors who rent a beach house and hire the local pretty boy stud to teach them how to pick up women. That was a great one too. Hardbodies, that was the name.

Some other good ones: Class, the Wild Life (Sean Penn's brother Chris), 3 O'Clock High, Pretty in Pink.

Not really "teen" movies but we would be remiss if we didn't mention Red Dawn. WOLVERINES!!!!!

And St. Elmo's Fire is another one of my favorites, albeit with slighter more mature themes. Never cared for About Last Night though.

You've also got the Lost Boys, Stand By Me and...gulp...Less Than Zero.

Remember one called River's Edge w/ Keanu and Crispin Glover?

Man, we could go on and on...

Speaking of Crispin Glover, back to the future. Oh God, I have less than 48 hours until the movers get here to take away all my stuff. I will be leaving for germany in 10 days. I already have train tix for airport to Karlsruhe. Hope to see you on Sunday (31st).
