Rik's Blog, 80's Edition: BLASPHEMY!

One American Olympic athlete that I will NOT be rooting for at the Beijing games is wrestler Ben Askrin. Mr. Askrin has seen fit to denigrate one of the greatest 80's movies of all time: Vision Quest. But he didn't stop there - he also took a veiled shot at the 80's in general. Here's what he said:

"'Vision Quest' is a terrible, terrible movie," Askren says during a deep-thoughts session from his room in the Olympic Village. "It's just so stereotypical and '80s."

Let me tell you something Ben Askrin. You may be competing at the Olympics...but you, my friend, are no Louden Swain.
